    Plug-in your Flash Drive.<\/b>\u00a0First plug-in your USB stick to your USB port and copy all the content to a safe location in your hard drive .<\/div>\n

  2. Run Command Prompt as an administrator.<\/b>\u00a0To open a command prompt, go to the Start menu and search for CMD. Right-click on it and select\u00a0Run as Administrator<\/b>\u00a0to use it with admin rights.\n

  3. Using the\u00a0Diskpart<\/i>\u00a0utility find the drive number of your flash drive.<\/b>\u00a0To do so, type in the following command in the command prompt: DISKPART\n

    • Running DISKPART will display the version of DISKPART you are running and the name of your PC.<\/li>\n
    • Type \u201clist disk\u201d to see a display of all your connected disk drives. Make a note of the number assigned to your Flash drive.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • Format the drive.<\/b>\u00a0Execute the following list of commands one-by-one. Make sure you replace Disk 1 with the proper Disk number from DISKPART.select disk 1<\/code>
      \nclean<\/code>
      \ncreate partition primary<\/code>
      \nselect partition 1<\/code>
      \nactive<\/code>
      \nformat fs=NTFS QUICK<\/code>
      \nassign<\/code>
      \nexit<\/code><\/p>\n

    • Make the flash drive bootable.<\/b>\u00a0Use the\u00a0bootsect<\/i>\u00a0utility that is shipped with Windows 7. To do so:\n

      • Insert the Windows 7 DVD and note down the drive letter of the DVD drive. For this guide, the DVD drive is D: and the USB drive is G:.<\/li>\n
      • Navigate to the directory where\u00a0bootsect<\/i>\u00a0is found.<\/li>\n
      • open command as AdministratorD:<\/code>
        \ncd d:boot<\/code><\/li>\n
      • Use the bootsect to make the USB Drive bootable. This updates the drive with BOOTMGR compatible code and prepares it to boot Windows 7<\/li>\n
      • BOOTSECT.EXE\/NT60 G:<\/code><\/li>\n
      • Close the Command Prompt windows.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      • Copy all files from the Windows 7 \u00a0DVD to the formatted USB stick.<\/b>\u00a0The safest and the fastest way would be to use the Windows Explorer.
